A restorative Friday evening of crystal singing bowls, guided rest and practical sleep strategies for tired, busy minds.About this Event
Do you ever feel exhausted, but still have a hard time switching off?
Maybe your body is tired, but your mind is still planning, replaying the day or worrying about whether you’ll sleep.
Rest & Reset is a small, two-hour evening workshop in Burnaby designed to help you step away from the busyness for a while and experience what it feels like to rest without having to force it.
Led by Registered Social Workers Sarah DiFederico and Tony Ho, the evening combines a restorative sound bath with practical, evidence-based sleep support.
Limited early-bird tickets are available for $99.
What the evening will be like
We’ll start by slowing things down.
Tony will share simple, practical sleep strategies and explain why stress, racing thoughts and trying too hard to sleep can sometimes make it even harder to settle at night.
Sarah will then guide you through a restorative sound bath using crystal singing bowls.
Never tried a sound bath before? There’s nothing you need to know or do.
You’ll simply get comfortable while Sarah plays the bowls, creating gentle, resonant sounds throughout the room. You can sit or lie down, close your eyes if you’d like, and give yourself some time where there is nothing to accomplish.
We’ll also explore simple ways to:
• Respond differently to racing thoughts
• Settle a restless or activated body
• Shift out of work or caregiving mode
• Reduce some of the pressure around sleep
• Create more space for rest, even when sleep is difficult
You’ll leave with your own simple Rest & Reset plan that you can use at home.
This might be for you if...
You feel wired but tired.
Your mind seems to get busier as soon as you get into bed.
You spend a lot of your day looking after other people and have trouble switching off.
You worry about whether you’re going to sleep.
You’ve collected a lot of sleep advice but still feel stuck.
Or maybe you’re simply curious about sound baths and want an evening to slow down.
You do not need experience with mindfulness, sound baths or sleep therapy.
This is not another sleep-hygiene lecture
We’re not going to give you a long list of rules about everything you should or shouldn’t be doing before bed.
The evening is about understanding sleep a little better, taking some pressure off it, and actually giving yourself the opportunity to rest.
You are welcome to participate in whatever way feels comfortable. You can sit, lie down, change positions or step out at any point.
