Leela Dance Collective presents a 10-day celebration of kathak dance in Los Angeles and San Francisco, featuring pop-up performances and workshops to educate and inspire audiences of all ages. ReSound is conceived and arranged by Rina Mehta, senior disciple of kathak legend Pandit Chitresh Das, and cofounder of the critically acclaimed Leela Dance Collective. Join us as we explore the fantastic fables of India in this introductory workshop to kathak dance. Children will experience the movement, expressions and music of kathak in this hour long workshop, giving them a taste of this legendary Indian classical dance form. For kids ages 5 and up.
