About this Event
Leela Dance Collective presents a 10-day celebration of kathak dance in Los Angeles and San Francisco, featuring pop-up performances and workshops to educate and inspire audiences of all ages. ReSound is conceived and arranged by Rina Mehta, senior disciple of kathak legend Pandit Chitresh Das, and cofounder of the critically acclaimed Leela Dance Collective. Explore storytelling through rhythm, movement, music and poetry! Join us for an engaging and interactive workshop by the lake and dive into the dynamic world of kathak, classical dance from North India. Open to kids and adults. No prior training is needed.

Join us as we explore the fantastic fables of India in this introductory workshop to kathak dance. Children will experience the movement, expressions and music of kathak in this hour long workshop, giving them a taste of this legendary Indian classical dance form. For kids ages 5 and up.
