Join the National Band of New Zealand in Ōtautahi Christchurch for a day of Masterclasses and Workshops at the Thornton Auditorium, St. Peter's in Cambridge. Taking place on Saturday November 28 from 9:30am-4pm, the masterclasses will cover a broad range of topics and will be delivered by handpicked National Band members, selected for their expertise and experience in each field.
Explore instrumental performance, ensemble playing, conducting, music education, composition and arranging, band management and logistics, and much more. Whether you're a brass player, conductor, educator, committee member, or even just a fan, there will be something for everyone.
Throughout the day, attendees are also invited to observe open workshops with Matamata Brass, Te Awamutu Brass and Koru Brass Hamilton, offering a unique opportunity to see local ensembles work alongside National Band players and gain insight into the rehearsal process.
Come along, learn from the best, and be part of an inspiring day of community, education and a shared love of brass band music.
