Join the National Band of New Zealand in Ōtautahi Christchurch for a day of FREE Masterclasses and Workshops at the Charles Luney Auditorium.Taking place on Saturday October 10 from 9:30am-4pm, the masterclasses will cover a broad range of topics and will be delivered by handpicked National Band members, selected for their expertise and experience in each field.
Explore instrumental performance, ensemble playing, conducting, music education, composition and arranging, band management and logistics, and much more. Whether you're a brass player, conductor, educator, committee member, or even just a fan, there will be something for everyone.
Throughout the day, attendees are also invited to observe open workshops with Woolston Concert Brass, Rolleston Brass and Nor'West Brass, offering a unique opportunity to see local ensembles work alongside National Band players and gain insight into the rehearsal process.
