Sacramento guitarist Ross Hammond plays equal parts blues, jazz, and world music. He’s played on large stages and small corners throughout the United States and beyond. He’s played for Hillary Clinton, to audiences of five and all points in between.

8pm: Stephen Esquivido (sax) & Ted Barber (guitar) Duo
Stephen Esquivido is a multi-horn player who grew up in the Sacramento area, and spent some time in New Orleans, where he played with Dirty Chops Brass Band and toured with Sunny Side, a traditional jazz and swing band. Now back in Sacramento, he performs often with groups including SSRI and Aiko Shimada, as well as many other local musicians. His playing moves easily between a warm, full sound, impressive chops, and the understated sensibility of Lester Young.
Ted Barber is a jazz guitarist who recently moved to Sacramento and excited to make the scene. He is a frequent collaborator of bassist Andrew Mendoza and also a guitarist for Espionage Jazz.
