Resilience in Practice: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT IN UNCERTAIN TIMES
Funding shifts. Costs rise. The need for services doesn’t pause. Across Newark, nonprofit leaders are making decisions about people, programs, and what their organizations can sustain.
Resilience in Practice is a new series of intensives from the Newark Nonprofit Leadership Resilience Fund (NNLRF), created to turn shared learning into shared action. We’re beginning with financial management in uncertain times, with more gatherings to follow in 2027.
Join us from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a day of honest conversation, practical learning, and connection. A fireside chat will help ground us in the realities Newark organizations are navigating. BDO’s Nonprofit & Grantmaker Advisory team will lead an interactive session on financial health, budgeting, revenue risk, and scenario planning. You’ll work through examples with other leaders and leave with adaptable tools to use at your organization.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided. We’ll close with a happy hour and networking session—time to continue the conversation and build relationships across Newark’s nonprofit community.
This intensive is designed for executive directors, finance staff, program leaders, and operations staff . We encourage organizations to bring more than one team member, along with the questions they’re working through right now.
