Marta Ákadóttir ja Sóley ÓlafsdóttirResidentuur stuudios: 2.–30.09
"Flugubúllan" on uus lavastusprojekt, milles kriisi erinevad kehastused mutatsiooni ja geoloogilist leina uurivad. Uurimistöö lähtepunktiks on Franco Bifo Berardi tekstid teosest “Phenomenology of the End”, mis käsitlevad meie närvisüsteemi tehnokultuurilist mutatsiooni.
Uurimus on fantaasia, kus tohutu surve all muutub meel teraseks, et üha tihenevas infosfääris hakkama saada. Projekt jälgib meele kui terase simulatsiooni erinevate tegelaskujude kaudu: Turundusmees Markús, Kärbes ja Maa. Teos uurib pingeid hüperkontrolli, kokkuvarisemise ja ellujäämise vahel kontrolli- ja ülestimulatsiooni süsteemides.
Marta ja Sóley on Islandilt pärit loominguline duo, kes mõlemad on lõpetanud Islandi Kunstiülikooli. Sóleyl on bakalaureusekraad kaasaegse tantsu praktikates (Contemporary Dance Practices) ning Martal bakalaureusekraad lavastuseloomes (Performance Making). Mõlemad tegutsevad aktiivselt Reykjavíki etenduskunstide väljal ning kuuluvad hiljuti loodud kollektiivi Tóma Rýmið.
Marta Ákadóttir on tantsija, etenduskunstnik ja kuraator ning ühtlasi post-punk-bändi GRÓA liige. Möödunud aastal asutas ta etenduskunstide festivali Komum út í mínuse ning töötas samal ajal Reykjavík Dance Festivali produktsioonimeeskonnas.
Sóley Ólafsdóttir on aktiivselt esinenud teiste kunstnike töödes, loonud oma lavastusi ning teinud koreograafiat erinevatele koosseisudele. Ta loob töid nii iseseisvalt kui ka nime all BunnyVerse Company, keskendudes eelkõige lastele suunatud etendustele.

Flugubúllan (The Fly Hub) is a new performance project where different embodiments of crisis explore mutation and geological lament. The spark for the research comes from texts by Franco Bifo Berardi on Phenomenology of the End that deals with the techno-cultural mutation of our nervous system.
The research is a fantasy where the mind turns from immense pressure into steel in order to co-exist with the infosphere that is growing progressively thicker. Thereby the project follows a simulation of the mind as steel through different characters, Markús the Marketing Man, the Fly, and the Earth. The project explores tensions between hyper-control, collapse, and survival within systems of control and overstimulation.
Marta and Sóley are a creative duo from Iceland who both graduated from the Iceland University of the Arts, Sóley with a BA in Contemporary Dance Practices and Marta with a BA in Performance making. They are both active in the grassroot performance art scene in Reykjavík and are part of newly established Tóma Rýmið collective.
Marta Ákadóttir is a dancer, performance maker and curator, as well as a member of the post-punk band GRÓA. Last year she established a performance festival called Komum út í mínus as well as working with the production team for Reykjavík Dance Festival.
Sóley Ólafsdóttir has been actively performing for other artists, creating her own works, and choreographing for ensembles. She creates work both individually and under the name of BunnyVerse Company, focusing on performances for children.
