About this Event
The Integrated Education Fund is delighted to host this launch event of two innovative research projects that explore the potential for cross-sector school solutions in Northern Ireland.
At the event we will hear from the Queen's University Belfast (QUB) and Ulster University (UU) research teams, have the opportunity to engage with them regarding their findings and also hear key stakeholder reflections on the findings from the research.
The QUB research team, Professor Joanne Hughes and Dr Jessica Hadden, will provide an overview of their qualitative research on cross-sector solutions to school provision in Northern Ireland, in the context of broader systemic challenges, such as falling enrolments and the existence of multiple school sectors.
We will also hear from the UU research team, Emeritus Professor Colin Knox and Dr Helen Foster, who have completed financial modelling to set out the financial and social case for consolidating unsustainable schools in Northern Ireland across both the primary and post-primary phases.
The event will also include a Panel Discussion and Q&A with key community and political stakeholders.
Please note that registration and lunch will be available from 12pm and the event will start at 12.30pm.
While this is a free event, places are limited and we therefore advise that you book early.
