Curious what mahjong is like without a card, Charleston, or jokers? This beginner-friendly teaching table introduces the basics of Hong Kong Old Style Mahjong, including tile groups, wall setup, flowers, replacement tiles, gameplay flow, calls, and exposures. The focus is on learning how the game works and building a complete hand through guided play. Fan scoring and special hands are lightly covered in class. No previous Chinese mahjong experience is required. American mahjong players and complete beginners are welcome. All supplies are provided.
