Following the Second World War, Government House was transformed into a convalescent home for returning veterans. It served as a place for recovery and rehabilitation from 1945-1957. Join us on November 8 for a special Remembrance Week talk. Guest speaker Dr. Jeff Keshen will speak about veterans’ experiences after returning home from the First and Second World Wars.

Holding a doctoral degree from York University with a research concentration in the history of war and conflict, Dr. Keshen has authored or edited nearly 20 books, written approximately 30 peer-reviewed articles and received numerous awards for his military history writing.
