On Remembrance Day, we gather to honour Australian and allied service personnel who have served in times of war, conflict and peacekeeping operations. Join official guests, veterans and current serving personnel as we reflect on their service and sacrifice.Centennial Park invites the community to attend this official commemorative service at the Cross of Remembrance in Derrick Gardens, a place of remembrance where more than 4,500 service people are laid to rest.
The service will begin at 10.30am with a formal procession accompanied by music from the Scotch College Pipes and Drums Band. Members of Re-enact SA will form the Catafalque Party and will be joined by Cadets representing the Australian Navy, Army and Air Force.
An official wreath-laying ceremony will take place followed by a performance by the Walford Anglican School for Girls Choir.
Guests are welcome to place their own wreaths or personal tributes. We kindly ask that they are environmentally friendly, made from natural materials.
Lest we forget.
