The Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir opens its new season with Remembrance, a powerful and uplifting programme exploring themes of loss, peace and reconciliation.
The concert features John Rutter's Requiem, a work of warmth, beauty and consolation, alongside Ralph Vaughan Williams' Dona Nobis Pacem, an emotionally charged plea for peace that remains as relevant today as when it was first composed.
Joined by the Amici Ensemble and distinguished soloists Louise Wayman (soprano) and Ieuan Jones (baritone), the choir will present an evening of stirring music, from moments of quiet contemplation to passages of dramatic intensity.
