Remembrance Sunday 2026Billingham Town Council is proud to work in partnership with the Royal British Legion to deliver Billingham’s annual Remembrance Parade and Service of Remembrance, giving our community the opportunity to come together to remember and honour all those who have served and sacrificed.
This year’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations will take place on Sunday 8th November 2026.
The Remembrance Parade will assemble from 10.00am in the car park of the Salutation Public House, West Road, before moving off at 10.30am. The parade will make its way to the Cenotaph on Station Road, where the Service of Remembrance will begin at approximately 10.50am.
The service will include the traditional two-minute silence at 11.00am, followed by the laying of wreaths. Following the service, the parade will return to the Salutation, arriving at approximately 11.30am.
Later in the day, a short Service of Remembrance will be held at the Cenotaph on Port Clarence Road at 1.30pm, followed by the laying of wreaths.
Residents are warmly invited to attend either service and join representatives of local organisations, veterans and members of the wider community in paying their respects.
Local organisations and community groups wishing to participate in the parade are very welcome. To register your interest or for further information, please contact Billingham Town Council on 01642 551171.
