OUR ANNUAL BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION
Come and join us for a journey down memory lane…
We often hear how important it is to look back and remember how far we have come. By reflecting on the stories, struggles, triumphs and contributions of those who came before us, we are reminded of where we have come from — and inspired to look ahead to where we are going.
Black history is for everyone, and this year we want to celebrate the incredible contribution Black history and culture have made to our lives, our communities and, in particular, the rich and powerful tradition of gospel music.
This unique production brings history to life through a series of short drama sketches by Parabolē Productions. Expect moments that are thought-provoking, moving, challenging — and, of course, plenty of humour!
The drama will be interwoven with powerful live musical performances from E & Zamar, Reading Community Gospel Choir and Naomi Parchment, taking us on a musical journey through gospel and its enduring influence.
Come ready to laugh, reflect, celebrate and be inspired as we remember the past, celebrate the present and look towards the future.
