RELEASE TENSE, TIGHT SHOULDERS Tight shoulders can contribute to neck and upper-back tension, restricted movement, and even affect the way we breathe. In this two-hour Master Class, Jeanne Heileman will guide you through practices to release tension while building the strength and stability needed for healthy, mobile shoulders. You’ll learn practical anatomy and tools to continue using in your own practice. From this foundation, we’ll gradually explore inversions and other poses that change our relationship to gravity, with options for different levels and bodies. Tantric teachings of the Fifth Chakra will be woven throughout the session, exploring the relationship between the shoulders, neck and throat—and how changing habitual patterns in the body can open us to new possibilities. Come away with freer shoulders, greater understanding, and a fresh perspective on your practice.
Jeanne Heileman. – MA, 500-ERYT, YACEP, Founder of Tantra Flow Yoga. Jeanne brings together over 41 years of yoga study with 30-plus years of teaching experience into a style of yoga weaving asana, Ayurveda, meditation, with the intention to positively affect a student’s energy. She specializes in discovering the needs of an individual and gently guiding a student to their own true essence. Jeanne teaches with sensitivity, generosity of spirit, and a lot of humor. Initiated into the lineage of Sri Vidya, a living descent of ancient sages from the Himalayan Mountains, she has had the honor to study closely with many leading teachers. She currently teaches at Center for Yoga in Los Angeles, and on her own TFY platform.
