MEET YOUR HOSTS
- Hey, I am Marta, a London-based accessible yoga teacher and a reiki healer (in training). My mission is to guide students to reconnect to their body and mind through mindful movement and meditation.I approach my teaching with compassion and by being responsive to the needs of students. Teaching in different environments (not only yoga studios but also gyms, universities, and hospitals) has taught me that we all have different bodies that carry different stories and narratives and the ability to adapt and improvise when needed to guarantee accessibility to the practice as well as create a safe space is fundamental for me. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or a beginner, when moving with me, you will always have full control of your body. Adapt, modify and get creative while showing up as you are!
- Hola! My name is Christie and I am a Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga teacher. My goal is to help students incorporate this practice into their day-to-day lives, building discipline with a sense of curiosity in and out of the mat.I approached yoga thinking it was an easy escape from my dull work-life situation; it turned out I wasn’t escaping it, but rather reframing it. Yoga taught me how to be more assertive and grounded in stressful and challenging situations, bringing meaningful changes in different aspects of my life. With this workshop, we wish to create a welcoming and safe space where, through guided meditation and journaling, you will become more aware of your thoughts and their patterns, and through a guided movement practice you will learn to release tension and resistance to reconnect with your true beautiful self.
