~ Foraged Basketry Workshop @ BeeUrban, Kennington Park, London ~

…Join us in an immersive experience of creativity at the beautiful BeeUrban apiary, in the heart of Kennington Park in London. We will gather in the circle, in the light of the full Moon over the four month period, starting from January 2025, every second Sunday of the month.
We will meet in a community, co-creating with the plants, deepening our relationship with the natural world and the land. We will be working with a variety of locally sourced, seasonally available plants which we might also forage on a day. We’ll look in the plants that need varying degrees of preparation too. Our focus will be on cordage baskets, coiling baskets and if time permits random weave baskets. All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own plant fibers if you wish.
Whether you are an experienced crafter or new to the art, this workshop is a perfect opportunity to learn new skills, express your creativity and craft something beautiful and functional with your own hands. This is a very relaxing and deeply restorative space where everyone is welcome. Group size will be kept small, max of 7 to allow space for the individual attention. No experience neccesary, just willingness to learn.
Selection of herbal teas will be provided.
People are invited to bring a story to share in the circle.

There's a number of concession tickets for those who need it! If you are really called to the class but can not afford it please do get in touch! We will try to find a way to support you! Should you feel generous, there's an option of paying more to support those who can not afford to attend! Priority will be given to those who can attend all four sessions.
