Enjoy a gentle and festive visit to Father Christmas in the unique surroundings of Bletchley Park.
We understand that every child experiences the world differently. Our Relaxed Vintage Christmas Grotto Experience has been specially designed for families who would benefit from a quieter environment, and is appropriate for children on the autistic spectrum, those with sensory conditions, who are neurodiverse or have other additional needs.
Meet Father Christmas
Your visit begins in our charming 1940s-inspired North Pole Plotting Room, where Father Christmas' helpers are making final preparations for Christmas Day.
Families will be welcomed by friendly characters who will gently guide them through the experience before meeting Father Christmas himself and receiving a special gift to take home.
Children are welcome to engage in whatever way feels comfortable for them, whether that means chatting with Father Christmas, observing quietly, or simply enjoying the festive surroundings.
A Relaxed Festive Day Out
Alongside your Grotto visit, families can enjoy a variety of festive activities across Bletchley Park’s historic site, including:
- Meeting friendly 1940s characters who are preparing for Christmas.
- Watching a theatrical rehearsal of Cinderella by members of Bletchley Park's historic Drama Society.
- Taking part in festive craft activities inspired by the creativity of the wartime Codebreakers.
- Exploring Bletchley Park's historic buildings, exhibitions and grounds.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Tickets are £15 per person plus booking fees.
- Tickets provide timed entry to the Relaxed Vintage Christmas Grotto Experience and day access to Bletchley Park.
- Bletchley Park’s Relaxed Vintage Christmas Grotto Experience is a separate, ticketed event and, as such, Annual Passes to the museum do not permit entry.
- Please arrive at the entrance of the Relaxed Christmas Grotto at the start of your chosen time slot. Please note that the Grotto is approximately a 5-minute walk from the main entrance of Bletchley Park.
- Each 20-minute time slot can accommodate up to four children and four adults. If you would like to make a booking for a larger group, please call our Bookings team on 01908 640404
- During the booking process, please ensure you complete the form with information about the children attending to help make the experience as magical as possible.
