A National Award-winning singer, Rekha Bhardwaj is celebrated for her distinctive voice and her remarkable contribution to Sufi, Bollywood and Ghazal music. Since making her singing debut in 1997, she has collaborated with some of the biggest names in Indian music and created some of the most memorable songs in recent history, including Tere Ishq Mein, Kabira, Namak and the special bandish in Raag Puriya. Her celebrated collaboration with A.R. Rahman earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer for Sasural Genda Phool from Delhi-6. She went on to win the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for Ishqiya and another Filmfare Award for Darling from 7 Khoon Maaf.
