Applications are now open for Rejoice Alberta Season IX—Alberta’s Premier Christian Singing Competition and Artist-Development Program.
Rejoice Alberta is calling singers, worship leaders, vocal groups, bands and emerging Christian artists from Edmonton and communities across Alberta.
Whether you are an experienced performer or finally ready to share your voice publicly, Season IX provides an opportunity to develop your gift, gain valuable performance experience and connect with a wider audience.

Your official contestant application and C$100 payment must be completed on the Rejoice Alberta website.

Please note that registering for the free Eventbrite ticket alone does not constitute a completed Season IX application.
Compete for a C$5,000 Grand-Prize Package
The Season IX winner will receive a C$5,000 grand-prize package, including a professional music-video recording deal.
Selected contestants will also have opportunities to:
- Perform before a live audience
- Receive valuable artistic guidance and performance feedback
- Develop their vocal ability and stage presence
- Build visibility within Alberta’s Christian music community
- Connect with other singers, musicians and music professionals
Choose Your Audition Path
Applicants can select either an in-person audition or a video audition when completing the official application form.
In-Person Audition
After submitting your application and payment, a member of the Rejoice Alberta team will contact you with your audition schedule, venue information and performance requirements.
Come prepared to share your voice, communicate your message and give your best performance before the audition panel.
Video Audition
Applicants who cannot attend an in-person audition may submit a video performance through the official application form.
Your audition video should:
- Clearly show you or your group performing
- Not exceed three minutes
- Include your name and location
- Include the song title
- Explain briefly why you want to participate
- Be performed without an accompanying instrument unless you are personally playing the instrument
You can provide an accessible YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox or Google Drive link through the application form.

Application Fee
The Season IX application fee is:
C$100 per application
The application fee must be paid through the official Rejoice Alberta application page. No payment is collected through this promotional Eventbrite listing.
Application Deadline
All applications and payments must be completed by:
January 15, 2027, at 11:59 PM Mountain Time
Early applications are strongly encouraged.
