⭐️ NEXT CONCERT Live piano meets ballet on film at Holy Trinity Church.Pianist Reina Okada opens with Chopin, Beethoven’s “Pathétique”, Bach, Debussy and Scriabin. After the interval she performs Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition (original piano version) live, accompanying London City Ballet’s production on screen. Reina first performed the score alongside the live ballet, and this is the first time we’ve brought the combination to Ripon.
“She (Reina Okada) brilliantly captured the grandeur of the Great Gate of Kiev, the humour of the Chickens and the menace of Gnomus.” (Bachtrack)
