About this Event
We often tell people to reach across differences, know their neighbors, listen better, and work together—but connection depends on more than individual effort; it is also shaped by the institutions and structures around us. At a time when our lives are increasingly sorted into social, political, and institutional silos, building a connected community requires both new ways of relating to one another and new structures that make those relationships possible. Dr. Nichole Argo will lead an experiential exploration of the skills and structures that help communities build trust, navigate difference, and collaborate on the challenges they share. Participants will leave with:
- a clearer understanding of what durable relational infrastructure can make possible;
- firsthand experience with two pratical tools for building it: a community mapping exercise, and a deep listening strategy; and,
- an intention, commitment, or next step for building relational infrastructure within La Crosse.
