reimagine Featuring Coulee Winds
Dr. Holly deCaigny, artistic director
Presented by the Southern Alberta Music Society
We're excited to introduce Coulee Winds, a new wind ensemble in Southern Alberta. Our first concert is Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Casa in the Community Room.
The program brings together three pieces we love: Adam Gorb's Yiddish Dances, full of energy and color; Stravinsky's Octet, sharp and playful; and Copley's Serenade for Winds, warm and lyrical. It's a fun, varied evening that shows off what a small group of wind players can really do together.
You'll also hear four small ensembles featured throughout the program: a clarinet quartet, a saxophone quartet, a trombone choir, and a tuba quartet — a great chance to hear these instrument families shine in ways you don't often get to experience.
