Join me for a deeply relaxing Reiki Drum Journey, combining Reiki energy with the steady, repetitive rhythm of the drum.Rhythmic drumming has been used for centuries to help quieten the conscious mind and enter deeper states of awareness. Modern EEG (brainwave) research has also explored how repetitive drumming can influence brain activity, including theta brainwave activity associated with deep relaxation, meditation and altered states of awareness.
Research into meditation and deep relaxation has also found fascinating links between these practices, reduced stress and changes in immune function – including studies looking at the activity of the body's natural killer (NK) cells, an important part of our natural immune defences.
We’ll begin by settling into the space and setting a personal intention for your journey, before getting comfortable, closing your eyes and allowing the rhythm of the Reiki drum to carry you into a deep meditative state.
After the journey there will be time to journal your experience, followed by optional sharing and the opportunity to choose an oracle card before we finish.
No previous Reiki or meditation experience is needed – simply come along, get comfortable and enjoy the journey.
