Empress Shelly Lightnin the sweet angelic voice that is currently the newest sensation in the Reggae Music Industry. Recently returning from Jamaica, where appearances were made at the Infamous Caveman RubA Dub Garden, Rub A Dub Thursdays and Junior Reid's Friday Night One blood Showcase, Sizzla's Cudjoe Salute, Also voicing for Caveman Productions, Linval Thompson and labels such as Overproof Records, Digital 1 Records, doing backings for Legends such as Rod Taylor, Black Sativa, to name a couple, she is ready to storm the Stage. She is involved with Projects with Benjy Myaz, Iron sound Records, Slaughter house Music, Alien Dread, Bold n Boasy, Link up Studios - king speares, Monkey Jahyam, Bala Ranks - Survivor - Gambia, Crownsy - Ghana and numerous International producers spanning many countries. She has worked with artists such as Little Roy, Iqulah Rastafari, Vivian Jones, Al Campbell, Bobby Woods, Basil Gabbidon, Milton Godfrey, Alvin Davis, Dennis walks, Bencil, Sugar Minott, Tony Tuff, these are a few of the artists. She has also opened for Sandra Cross, John Mclean & Aswad, ALeighcia Scott. Performed for One Love Festival, SimmerDown Festival, Bridgenorth Festival and numerous others. DUBBAS DELIGHT the current album on the Market has had an overwhelming reception. With four tracks of the Album currently under curation. Shelly Lightnin has a very large catalogue of beautiful Reggae Music spanning over a 150 tracks. As a producer in her own right she has re-arranged and remixed some of the tracks LIGHTNIN SOUND SYSTEM STYLE, the Instrumental arrangements are phenonenal!. Her current album, DUBBAS DELIGHT which is her thirteenth, is executively produced by herself with compositions and productions from other world class Reggae composers and producers.

She also mixes and masters Internationally. Her musical mastery and knowledge not to be taken lightly. She also has another life in the Sound System arena as 1 of the first female built and owned fronted and engineered sounds. 1996.

The release of 'Shelly Lightnin - The First Collection' on a limited white card USB, featuring a decades worth of music of 47 tracks is very mentionable, as it was creatively presented, physically musically and lyrically, an exceptional COLLECTION of works.
Shelly will be releasing her next phenomenal project, without giving away too much, the 2nd collection, the Ultimate Roots collection. Featuring an Album, Mixtape, and another collectors pack of over 40 roots songs. With some major collaborations with top roots Artists from various countries internationally. Definitely Grammy Material
With her band the Jah People Band I am sure Shelly Lightin will cause a storm.
Classically taught under the tutilidge of Mrs Bryan achieving Her London Royal Academy Of Music grades, this love took on a new form of passion, when she attended Montego bay High School Joining the band and further becoming one of the founding members of the Jamaica Orchestra of Youth.
Cleverly incorporating her deep rooted Jamaican vibrations whilst intertwining hints of Jazz, World music, Lovers, Ska, Rock and still keeps it authentically reggae.
This differentiates The Empress as one who will be definitely unleashing some hits- watch this space
