About this Event
'Join English organist and composer Matt Walters AKA Reductio for an evening of Christmas music on the organ at St Andrews United Church, Brantford.
Matt Walters AKA Reductio is an English organist and music producer based in the UK.
He studied classics at Homerton College, Cambridge concurrently with an organ scholarship, having learnt the organ at Downside School. After university he worked at an estate agency in Bristol before pursuing a career in music.
He is now the resident organist at Downside Abbey. He has performed many solo concerts around the UK and internationally in places such as Manchester Cathedral, Notmark, Denmark and Melbourne, Australia, uniquely combining a wide range of music - classical music, film music, pop music and some of his own compositions. Online he has amassed over a quarter of a million followers across platforms and his music has been streamed millions of times under @reductiomusic.
He also produces electronic music, sampling classical music and the pipe organ into his electronic productions. This has led to the creation of a new show, 'Revival', which combines the organ with electronic music, mixed live in both cinematic and dance music form.
He will be performing a concert of Christmas music on the organ on 16th December at St Andrews Uniting Church, Brantford, featuring some Christmas classics and favorites, some of his original compositions and a mix of Christmas carols.
His upcoming performances will include Luxembourg and a full UK tour in 2027 with the world-famous Allen Organs, combining the pipe organ with electronic music.'
