Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned printmaker exploring eco-friendly art practices, Tetrapak printing is an exciting and accessible way to experiment with printmaking. It is an innovative technique that re-purposes used carton packaging into printing plates. Tetrapak involves etching and incisions into the packaging to hold the ink, which is then run through a press. Unlike traditional copper or zinc plates, Tetrapak is inexpensive, readily available, and reduces waste by repurposing materials that would otherwise be discarded. This makes it an excellent choice for artists looking to minimize their environmental impact while still achieving high-quality prints! Much like traditional etching, Tetrapak involves etching and incisions into the packaging to hold the ink.
- Compact & User-Friendly: Ideal for small studios and home printmaking setups.
- Versatility: Works with a range of inks and papers, allowing artists to experiment with different styles.
