1814 headlines the first ever Redemption Roots Reggae & Seafood Festival, with Hori Shaw, Classick J and Brutha Rodz joining them on the main stage. Saturday 13 February 2027 at Mataatua Reserve, Whakatāne, right where the river meets the sea.Gates open at 2pm. Grab some fresh seafood from the food trucks and a drink from the bar, then make the day your own. Find a spot in the shade, chill out in the whānau zone or get up front at the main stage. It’s up to you how you enjoy it, with plenty of space and a place for everyone.
DJs and live bands kick off the afternoon with a mix of covers and originals, building into sets from Classick J and Brutha Rodz. As the sun goes down, Hori Shaw brings the sundowner set before 1814 closes out the night.
