From Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October 2026, educators, school leaders, psychologists, academics, innovators, policymakers and people shaping the future of education will gather at Redhill School in Johannesburg for three days of courageous conversation, fresh thinking and practical ideas about what education could, and perhaps should, become.
Because the world our children are growing into has changed.
The question is whether education has changed enough with it.
Redefine is an opportunity to step outside the demands of the everyday, question some of the assumptions education has inherited and think deeply about the children sitting in our classrooms now, and the world for which we are preparing them.

Across three days, five keynote speakers and a programme of breakaways and workshops will explore some of the questions facing education right now: how we prepare children for a future we cannot predict, what AI means for teaching and learning, how we develop critical and creative thinkers, what wellbeing really asks of schools, and what might be worth preserving, rethinking or redesigning altogether.
Our keynote line-up includes David Roberts, Taddy Blecher, Willem Gous, Brent Hutcheson and Dr Angie Mullins, alongside educators, academics, innovators and practitioners bringing ideas from across the educational landscape.
This isn't three days of talking about education in the abstract. It is an opportunity to encounter new thinking, wrestle with difficult questions and leave with ideas worth taking back into your own school, classroom or educational context.
