Hands down my fav spot in the city, maybe in the world!I’ve been coming to Saigon Blonde almost every Thursday for about three years now, even before I ever became one of the resident DJs. It’s always been my favorite spot.. it just feels different.
It’s honestly the type of place where you lose track of time, dance for a few hours, and forget about everything else going on in your life..
The longer I do this, the more I realize that’s not really what I care about though.
What I want is for every Thursday to feel like one big house party.
I want people to know each other’s names.
I want the person walking in for the very first time to feel like they belong before the night’s even over.
I want you to be able to come by yourself and leave with a few new friends.
I want people introducing themselves and dancing together instead of staring at their phones between songs.
I want the music to be the reason we all end up in the same room, but the people to be the reason we keep coming back.
So if you ever see me behind the decks (or on the dance floor), don’t be a stranger.
I wanna be your friend.
