J² Education and Wellness is partnering with Inspire Dance Studio for a full-day American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training + Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course designed for youth ages 11–17.
This hands-on training is perfect for young people who are preparing to babysit, help care for younger siblings, or simply want to build greater confidence, responsibility, and emergency preparedness.
Participants will learn:
❤️ Basic care for infants and children
❤️ Babysitting safety and responsibility
❤️ Leadership and communication skills
❤️ Positive behavior and age-appropriate activities
❤️ How to recognize and respond to emergencies
❤️ Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED skills
❤️ Choking and other lifesaving emergency response skills

💧 Students should bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing.
All training materials are provided, and parents/guardians are welcome to stay and observe.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive an American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training certification valid for 10 years and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification valid for 2 years.
💜 This class also gives back! Proceeds benefit the Inspire Dance competition team.

Info: Hands-on caregiving: holding infants, bottle/spoon feeding, diapering, and bedtime routines.

Lesson 6: It's an Emergency (~2 hours and 20 minutes)
Info: Pediatric CPR & AED: Hands-on practice with child and infant mannequins, high-quality chest compressions, rescue breathing, and operating an AED. Choking & First Aid: Managing airway obstructions (back blows, abdominal thrusts), control of life-threatening bleeding, and injury care.
