REC.ORD begins. On Saturday 7 November 2026, Café 41 in Canterbury hosts the first chapter of a new DJ-led club night.
At the centre of the night is Mister Codrin — an open-format DJ and turntablist who has been DJing since 2009.
Expect big records, club anthems and unexpected musical connections across Hip-Hop, R&B, House, Dance, Electronic, Funk, Disco, Rock and more.
This is not about staying inside one genre or simply playing one hit after another.
Mister Codrin mixes, blends, cuts and scratches live — connecting records through samples, vocals, instrumentals and unexpected transitions.
An original record might become the track that sampled it.
A vocal might become the bridge into another record.
A scratch might become the transition.
One record answers another.
Mister Codrin began DJing in 2009 and held his first Canterbury residency at The Essence in 2013. He has since performed at clubs, private and corporate events around Kent and was selected among the successful online UK entries in the 2026 DMC UK National DJ Championship selection.
He will be joined by guest DJs opening the night and keeping the music moving throughout the evening.
