Reconnect to YOURSELF - Two Days Away From the Noise

TWO DAYS TO STEP AWAY FROM THE NOISE

Droushia Village, Cyprus | 24-25 October

There are moments in life when nothing is dramatically wrong, and yet somewhere inside we can feel that we have become tired, disconnected, overwhelmed or simply too busy to hear ourselves clearly.

Life becomes full very quickly. There is work to do, people to take care of, messages to answer, decisions to make, responsibilities to carry, problems to solve and expectations coming from every direction, and when this continues for long enough, we can slowly lose connection with the one person we spend our entire life with ourselves.

We may still function well, smile, work, achieve and continue with our daily life, but inside there can be a quiet feeling that something needs attention.

Sometimes we know exactly what it is.

There may be a conversation we keep postponing, a decision we know we need to make, a relationship that needs more care, a direction that no longer feels right, or simply a feeling that we have been giving so much energy to everything around us that we have forgotten to ask ourselves how we are actually doing.

And very often the answer is not that we need more information.

We already have plenty of information.

What we need is space.

Space to slow down, to step away from the constant noise and stimulation, to meet ourselves again without all the roles we normally carry, and to spend time with people who are also open to looking at life with honesty, curiosity and a willingness to grow.

This is the intention behind our two-day retreat in Droushia Village.

It is not designed only for people who have previously attended Insight seminars, and it is not a retreat for one particular community.

It is open to everyone.

You do not need any previous experience with Insight, personal development, retreats or any particular philosophy.

You simply need to be open-minded, willing to participate, and interested in spending two meaningful days away from the usual rhythm of everyday life.

We want to create a space where people can connect without needing to impress one another, where conversations can move beyond the usual surface level, and where we can begin to notice some of the things that are difficult to hear when our minds are constantly occupied.

Throughout the weekend, we will work with practical exercises, one-to-one conversations, group experiences, reflection, movement, morning practices and guided discussions around areas such as relationships, choices, responsibility, identity, direction, personal commitments and the way we use our energy every day.

The purpose is not to tell anyone how they should live.

It is to create the kind of environment where you can hear your own answers more clearly.

Sometimes the most useful question is not, “What should I do next?”

Sometimes it is, “What do I already know, but keep ignoring?”

We may explore questions such as:

Where am I in my life right now, and is the way I am living truly aligned with what matters to me?

What am I carrying mentally or emotionally that no longer needs to come with me?

Where is most of my energy going, and is that energy creating the life I want?

What conversations am I avoiding because they feel uncomfortable?

What have I been postponing even though I already know it needs my attention?

What would I like to experience more often in my life more peace, more courage, more connection, more clarity, more honesty, more joy, or perhaps simply more presence?

And when I return home after these two days, what would I genuinely like to do differently?

The weekend will include experiences inspired by the work of Insight Seminars, but everything will be structured so that people who have never attended Insight can participate fully and comfortably.

We will also be joined live online by two experienced Insight Facilitators, one on Saturday and another on Sunday, for interactive sessions that will include discussion, exercises, questions and practical work with the group.

But this weekend is not about promoting a particular program or asking anyone to become part of something.

The focus is much simpler.

It is about creating space for people.

People who want to step out of the noise for a little while.

People who enjoy real conversations.

People who are curious about themselves and others.

People who want to spend time around thoughtful, open-minded individuals rather than simply going through another weekend on autopilot.

One of the most important parts of the retreat will be the size of the group.

We are limiting the experience to a maximum of 20 participants because something very different happens when a group is small enough for people to genuinely meet one another.

You are no longer one person sitting anonymously among hundreds.

You have time to speak.

You have time to listen.

You have time to work in pairs, sit together, walk together, eat together and allow conversations to continue naturally without constantly rushing to the next thing.

On Saturday evening, there will be no stage, no presentation and no need for anyone to perform.

We simply want to sit together and create space for real stories and real conversations.

Someone may share something they have overcome.

Someone else may speak about something they are still trying to understand.

Another person may realise that they are not the only one experiencing something they believed was theirs alone.

There is something very powerful about being in a room where people do not need to pretend that everything in their life is perfect.

Not because the weekend is about focusing on problems, but because honesty creates connection, and connection often creates clarity.

By the time we finish on Sunday, the intention is not that you leave with pages of notes, more theories or another list of things you “should” do.

The intention is that you leave with something much more personal.

Perhaps greater clarity about an important decision.

Perhaps the courage to have a conversation.

Perhaps a different way of looking at something that has been troubling you.

Perhaps a commitment you are finally ready to honour.

Or perhaps simply a quieter mind and a stronger connection with yourself.

Because sometimes the most meaningful shift does not happen when we add something new to our lives.

It happens when we become quiet enough to see clearly what has been there all along.
