When was the last time you felt truly full, fed, and content?For many high-achievers, the answer might be: it’s been a while. We’re often so focused on doing, achieving, and showing up for others that we rarely pause to ask ourselves if we feel fulfilled.
On Thursday, November 5, the Columbia Business School African American Alumni Association (4A), in partnership with @columbia_biz , invites you to an intimate evening of conversation centered on high-functioning depression and reclaiming joy.
We’ll be joined by CBS alumna Dr. Judith Joseph ’07, board-certified psychiatrist, researcher, and bestselling author of High Functioning: Overcome Your Hidden Depression and Reclaim Your Joy, the first book to define high-functioning depression. Dr. Joseph holds both an MD and an MBA from Columbia University.
In a fireside chat with 4A Chair Rona (Matthew) Edomwonyi ’20, Dr. Joseph will explore what high-functioning depression looks like, why it often goes unnoticed in high-achievers, and how it shows up in today’s workplace.
Join us for an evening of thoughtful conversation, community, and connection at Columbia’s Manhattanville campus.
Your ticket includes:
* Admission to the event
* A copy of High Functioning: Overcome Your Hidden Depression and Reclaim Your Joy
