Rebel Ride North IslandI am doing the Rebel Ride (North Island) woman’s ride from 3-6 Dec. The route starts in Hamilton and finishes in Taupo, 204km spread over 3 or 4 days, depending on your ability & speed.
Anyone keen to join for 3 or 4 days? We finish in Taupo on Sunday between 12-3pm, depending on your Sunday ride length.
I’ve arranged a shuttle back from Taupo to Hamilton, the shuttle can take 6 people and 14 bikes
Another shuttle can be added for more riders.
Shuttle departs Taupo at 3:30pm, travel to Hamilton is approximately 2hrs
Accommodation:
3 nights, suggestions: night 1-Arapuni area (west side of the Waikato River), night-2 Mangakino or Whakamaru and night-3 Kinloch
I’ve booked accommodation for myself:
West of Arapuni (riders can’t cross over to Arapuni due to repair works to the dam and the construction team do not want cyclists on the narrow one way managed road) https://www.mercury.co.nz/about-us/renewable-energy/hydro-generation/arapuni-dam-enhancement-project
