Reality Check: The Influence Experiment is an immersive, interactive youth workshop experience designed to help young people explore how influence, identity, health, decision-making, and environment shape the life they build. An intentional collaboration between The Projects offering a dynamic experience that brings together the best of TIPPPs and the Youth Summit into one impactful event to show how careers and prevention intersect.
The TIPPPS x Youth Summit Collaboration, is an experience that transforms the event space into The Life Lab—a futuristic world where participants become part of an experiment focused on one central question:
How do influences shape the future we create?
Throughout the day, youth will engage in interactive stations, team-based challenges, wellness checkpoints, and skill-building workshops that explore the impact of social media, entertainment, health choices, career interests, and personal values.
Participants will begin creating their own Life Blueprint, reflecting on their interests, strengths, goals, and the kind of life they want to build. As the day unfolds, they will gather evidence, collaborate with peers, and help solve a deeper challenge centered on what truly helps someone rebuild their life.
This event is designed to be engaging, high-energy, reflective, and fun while helping youth strengthen awareness, confidence, critical thinking, and healthy decision-making.
Participants can expect:
- Immersive “Influence Lab” stations
- Explore career pathways such as: Cosmetology, Medical Heard Making, Automotive, Interior Design, and Financial Literacy
- Hands-on workshops and summit sessions
- Prevention and wellness activities such as: Art of prevention, Chronic disease, Substance abuse, Mental Health, Financial Literacy, and Nutrition
- Creative reflection spaces
- Team challenges and interactive experiences
- Opportunities to explore identity, strengths, and future goals
Reality Check: The Influence Experiment is more than an event—it’s a powerful experience that challenges youth to think deeply about influence, make meaningful connections, and recognize the power of choice.
Registration is FREE and only available for youth ages 11-17 and their families. Workshop includes an awesome take home toolkit, lunch and a full day of Reality Check Festivities!
Parents are encouraged to stay and participate in a "Parent Real Talk" workshop with conversations on how to recognize predatory behavior, youth sex trafficking, sexual assault, and teen dating violence.
PLEASE NOTE: Adults accompanying a teen(s) MUST fill out a separate registration form.
