About this Event
Real or Rendered | AI vs. Human Art Gallery Night, NYC
Can you truly tell the difference between human intuition and machine output? Put your creative eye to the test.
REAL OR RENDERED? is an interactive gallery social that cuts through the online hype and brings the AI art debate into a physical space. We are hanging 20 curated pieces—paintings, photography, posters, and short poetry. Half are created by local New York artists; half are generated using original AI prompts. None of them are labeled.
Upon entry, you’ll receive a set of voting stickers. Walk the gallery, inspect the details, debate the technique with people around you, and cast your votes: HUMAN or AI.
What to expect:
The Unlabeled Gallery: 20 works displayed side by side without credit or metadata.
Interactive Voting: Place your stickers next to each piece and see how the crowd leans.
The Big Reveal (""The Flip""): A dramatic live reveal where hidden cards flip to show the true origin and artist credits.
Direct Artist Support: Scan QR codes next to human-made works to view portfolios, social pages, and shop links directly.
No pretentious art speak, no AI sales pitches. Just a fun, honest conversation about craftsmanship and creativity over drinks.
