About the venue: GARAGE Kitchen + Bar is a bar and grill in the Gaslamp Quarter, rated 4.4 from around 1,100 reviews. It has an industrial garage-door frontage and a lively room - reviewers note the music can get loud enough to make conversation tricky near the speakers, so seating position is worth thinking about. Note the venue closes at 9pm Tuesday to Thursday, so a 7pm start gives a solid two hours.
Getting there: The venue is on Fourth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter, a short walk from Petco Park and the Convention Centre. The San Diego Trolley serves the Gaslamp with stops a few blocks away, and the district is very walkable. Gaslamp garages are plentiful but rates rise sharply on Padres game days and during conventions.
