Ready Set Halloween at the Calgary Police Discovery Centre
Looking for free family-friendly Halloween activities in Calgary? Join us on Saturday, October 31, 2026, for Ready Set Halloween, a fun and educational Halloween event designed for kids, youth, and families.
This FREE daytime Halloween celebration helps children get excited for trick-or-treating while learning important safety tips from Calgary Police Service officers. Families are encouraged to arrive in costume and enjoy a variety of Halloween-themed activities throughout the Calgary Police Discovery Centre.
Every young visitor will receive a wearable safety light to help improve visibility after dark and a CPDC trick-or-treat bag to use later that evening. Kids can collect treats at candy stations throughout the centre while exploring interactive exhibits and learning how to stay safe on Halloween night.
Ready Set Halloween combines family fun, hands-on learning, community engagement, and Halloween safety education, making it one of Calgary's most unique free Halloween events for children and families. Whether you're looking for a safe way to start your Halloween celebrations, an educational activity for kids, or simply a fun free thing to do in Calgary, this event has something for everyone.
This is a drop-in event with no fixed capacity. Additional activities may be added as Calgary Police Service units and community partners confirm their participation.
