Join us for a reading featuring Lara Mimosa Montes, author of The Time of the Novel (Wendy's Subway, 2025), and Roberto Harrison, author of Isthmus to Abya Yala (City Lights, 2024).
Lara Mimosa Montes is most recently the author of The Time of the Novel (Wendy's Subway, 2025), in addition to two previous books of poetry, THRESHOLES (Coffee House Press) and The Somnambulist (Horse Less Press, 2016). She lives in Minneapolis.
Roberto Harrison is a Panamanian American poet and artist living in Milwaukee since 1991. He published his ninth book, Isthmus to Abya Yala, through City Lights in 2024. He has served as editor and publisher and most recently coedited the Resist Much/Obey Little anthology of inaugural poems to the resistance in 2017. He was Milwaukee Poet Laureate from 2017–19.
