Legal Age 19+ (Valid Photo I.D. Required)Rangarang World presents Rangarang Live Vol. 2: Halloween, a disco-horror affair. Live Persian psych-funk, experimental performance and immersive art meet a costume party, with vinyl, visuals and dancing taking the night into the afterparty. Gollaby bring driving basslines and infectious grooves with a full ensemble, performing a selection of singles from their upcoming album and funk reinterpretations of Persian classics. The duo pairs multi-instrumentalist, performance artist and trained clown Mazi Javidiani with producer and electronic musician Bahador Rostami, joined by guest rapper Khireh. Their rule: take the music seriously, but not themselves. Kimia Farokhzad and Shahriar Siavash revisit radio personality Fereydoun Esmaili's avant-garde recording , "rdquo" -> Khandeh" from pre-revolution Iran through live vocals, tombak, improvisation and movement. Kimia's experimental work has appeared at the Aga Khan Museum, Exit Points Live Series and Night Shift, presented by Citadel + Compagnie and Fall for Dance North. Shahriar, a vocalist and instrumentalist, tours with Dang Show across Europe and Canada. elsewhere transforms the venue with an immersive installation. The Toronto/Tkaronto collective of Nellie Jalalzadeh, Katrina Jurjans and Mehdi Latifian combines painting, architecture, sound and film. Their large-scale installations blur the boundaries between cinema, theatre and architecture, inviting audiences to experience the work from within. They've exhibited at Gallery 1888 and Nuit Blanche, and won multiple DesignTO Juror's Choice Awards and the 2024 401 Richmond Career Launcher Prize. The night also marks the premiere of Ali Ghool, Rangarang World's original music video for Zia Atabay's Persian cover of Boney M.'s , "rdquo" -> Daddy Cool." With original visuals and vinyl DJ sets spanning Persian classics and global grooves, Lee's Palace becomes a Halloween party where the music, art and audience are all part of the show. Come dressed up and ready to dance, with a costume contest and prizes for the night's best looks.
