## **About this event**The DJ Homies Link-Up is a gathering space hosted by **Ritmo & Soul.** Link-Ups happen monthly and serve as a space for resource exchange, practice, education, and collaboration. The goal is to develop a supportive space for DJs looking to grow in the industry alongside their homies.
*Ritmo & Soul* is a collective of BIPOC DJs looking to create spaces that celebrate Black & Latin American diasporic sounds through events and community.
**Link-up Format:**
*🔓 Growth & accountability:* We’re all busy, Link-Ups provide a scheduled time to work on our craft. Bring your controllers & practice a new technique, work on a crate for an upcoming appearance, get feedback/ideas for your promo content, etc. Pull up ready to work!
*🎧 Hop on the decks:* Decks are open, first-come basis. House equipment is a DDJ 1000 srt available for Serato users. We also typically have an XDJ or CDJ option available for non-Serato users. B2Bs are welcomed & a great way to challenge yourself to spin with someone new.
*🤝 Meet & sip*: Food & drinks help facilitate connections! Since we're here for a few hours we invite you to bring snacks or drinks to share. We want it to be a comfortable space to meet a future collaborator, someone who will book you, or make a new dj homie!
