Oct 8th is one day after the second anniversary of Isla Bell's life being brutally stolen. Who is the thief? As Isla's mother and grandfather have stated: "Isla did not jump in a fridge and wrap it in plastic"
Apparently this "sentence indication" hearing is an opportunity for the "facts" to be told to the Judge. (Why has it taken 2 years for facts to be told to the judge?)
If the accused decides to enter an "early" plea (2 years is an early plea?), he is rewarded by the Judge disclosing what his cap on a maximum sentence might be. This cap on the maximum sentence is decided before Isla's mum gets to read her full Victim Impact Statement to the court.
This is outrageous.
Are we going to quietly allow a full miscarriage of justice to occur?
Will no one be held to account for the brutal death of Isla?
We need to make some noise for Isla and her loved ones.
