Rakestraw Books is delighted to welcome bestselling novelist Helene Wecker back to the shop on Wednesday, 7 October 2026 at 7 PM as we celebrate the publication of her remarkable new novel, The Gates of Midnight. She will be joined in conversation by J. P. Lacrampe, author of Valet.
The Gates of Midnight is the long-awaited final volume in Helene Wecker's beloved and bestselling The Golem and the Jinni trilogy, a richly imagined and deeply transporting novel that brings the saga to an unforgettable close. All of us here at Rakestraw Books have been fans of Helene since the The Golem and the Jinni published back in 2012 (Michael's mom, Julie, was a big fan!), so we are particularly excited that we for this final volume in the series.
