Raising Confident Kids: How to Help Your Child Open Up and Build Confidence

If your child is anxious, shutting down, or struggling with confidence, this workshop will help understand what’s going on and what to do
About this Event

If your child has been struggling lately, you’re not alone.

Many parents are seeing:

  • Increased anxiety or emotional shutdown
  • Low confidence or self-doubt
  • Difficulty expressing feelings
  • Frustration, irritability, or withdrawal
  • More time on screens and less real connection

And when you try to help, it can feel like nothing is working.

💡 This workshop will help you understand:
  • Why your child may be shutting down, pushing back, or struggling emotionally
  • What actually builds confidence (and what unintentionally makes it worse)
  • How to respond in a way that helps your child open up
  • Practical strategies you can start using immediately at home

👩‍⚕️ Led by Gillian Steffey, AMFT

Gillian specializes in working with children and families, helping kids who struggle with confidence, anxiety, and emotional expression. She creates a space where kids feel safe to open up while also helping parents better understand what their child needs to feel more confident and connected.

Important Note

This workshop will give you a clear understanding of what’s happening and where to start.

However, for many families, these challenges are more deeply rooted and require more individualized support.

Next Step (For Families Who Need More Support)

We will be opening a limited number of child-focused consultation spots this week with Gillian for families who want more direct support.

If what you hear in this workshop feels like your child, this is an opportunity to take the next step right away.

WHO THIS IS FOR

This workshop is a good fit if your child:

  • Struggles with confidence or self-esteem
  • Has anxiety or tends to shut down emotionally
  • Has difficulty expressing thoughts or feelings
  • Becomes easily frustrated or overwhelmed
  • Is increasingly withdrawn or disconnected
