Step into the Age of Sail for a lively evening exploring the early Navy's drinking culture. At the USS Constitution Museum’s Raise a Glass to History, sample grog, whiskey, and Madeira; sing sea shanties; and discover what drinking meant aboard ship. Museum Public Historian Carl Herzog will regale you with stories of alcohol aboard Constitution and the historical context behind the drinks sailors knew.
