About this Event

Each summer, on the first weekend in August, a group of riders sets off on a leisure ride from London to Amsterdam in memory of David Eales. Day two of the ride is from Canterbury to Dover. We will follow the same route. This is a great route with mesmerising views, some climbs, and beautiful scenery. Cycling along the coastline will be one of your best cycling adventures.
We are still working on the details for the trip. We will take a train from St Pancras International to Canterbury, stop for breakfast before cycling from Canterbury to Dover. Along the route, we will have another refreshment stop and several water stops. Once we reach Dover, riders can head straight to the station and take the next train to London. Alternatively, we can check the local amenities and stop for tea and coffee.

Meeting time and point to be confirmed.

This is a leisurely ride, good fitness is required; Total distance 36 miles, elevation 1025 ft, and expected riding time 4.5-5 hours. This ride is also a recce ride for anyone attending the London to Amsterdam Ride.

We expect to be back in London at about 7-8 pm
