About this Event
Every December, our intrepid ale hunter Paul Davies of AleHunters returns from Belgium and Europe with precious cargo. His mission? To venture beyond the familiar, follow promising leads and bring back beers worth gathering around a table to discover.
Think Indiana Jones with a tasting glass. The clues lead to breweries, hidden bars and well-stocked cellars. The treasure comes in bottles. And fortunately, this expedition ends with festive food rather than a sprint from a rolling boulder.
This year’s planned haul:
- De Poes Bruin · Our first discovery remains partly under wraps, with the exact selection still to be confirmed.
- Liefmans Goudenband · A golden name among our dark discoveries.
- Queens of Hop Drama Queen · Every adventure needs a little drama.
- De Halve Maan Christmas Blend · Christmas treasure secured for the expedition.
- Skøllmann Barrel Aged Imperial Chocolate Porter · Aged in Ginjinha barrels, the final artefact in our tasting quest.
With each measured tasting pour, Paul will reveal another find and the story behind it: the brewers, people and places that made it worth tracking down. Bring your curiosity, compare your discoveries and put your questions to the man who followed the trail.

Linda’s overflowing platters of festive nibbles will accompany the beers, with nostalgic favourites, playful pairings and a few surprises worthy of a raised eyebrow. Returning adventurers will know that the food is part of the expedition.
