This concert is part of the day-long Ragamala Lights Festival. Bharathi Prathap is a graded artiste of All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan, renowned as a torchbearer of the Agra-Atrauli Gharana in Hindustani classical music. Born in Bangalore, Karnataka, she began her musical journey at the age of seven in Carnatic music, winning numerous awards for her early talent. However, she later shifted her focus to Hindustani music and gained depth in the Agra-Atrauli gharana under the guidance of Vidushi Lalith R. Rao.
She will be accompanied on the tabla by Yogeesh Bhat and on the harmonium by Sarang Kulkarni.
