Hailing from La Glace, Alberta, Matt’s songs live in a world where time has slowed way down by where there’s always time to smell the roses, to kick the tires before buying, and to use an old screwdriver instead of a power tool to fix what is broken. Dog, Tiger, Horses is this Canadian Folk Music Award nominee’s latest album, produced by Steve Dawson and released on Black Hen.
JUNO-nominated Suzie Ungerleider*, (formerly Oh Susanna), invites you into her world with her captivating clear voice, poetic lyricism, mesmerizing melodies. On her latest album Among the Evergreens, a collection of songs written in her hometown of Vancouver, Suzie tells real life tales from teenage-hood to motherhood. “It’s about being like a tree with all those rings around you, the layers of your life telling you who you are and where you've been.” Among the Evergreens has earned rave reviews by Mojo, Uncut, Next and Americana UK magazine.
